What we love most about spring weddings

What we love most about spring weddings

From baby animals to blossoming blooms, there's so much to love about spring. And with spring being the most popular season to get married in Australia last year (37% of couples said, "I do" in Spring 2016*), we decided to share with you what we love most about spring weddings:

1. Symbolism

The season of new beginnings presents a perfect time to mark your new beginning as husband and wife. Spring is also associated with new life, fresh starts and fertility, so if babies are high on your agenda, there may be no better time to tie the knot. Mark your new beginning with a white freestanding joined names wedding sign set to highlight your new married couple status.

2. Flowers

If there is one standout factor of a spring wedding - it has to be the flowers! Indulge in an abundance of flora and fauna, with many sought-after wedding blooms coming into season at this time of year. Because many popular wedding blossoms including tulips, daffodils and peonies are readily available in spring, it also means that costs will be lower than other times of the year when they are harder to come by. The milder temperatures will also keep your bouquet looking fresh for the duration of your celebrations. Continue your floral theme right throughout your celebrations, with engraved acrylic wedding flower placecards to help guests find their place in your nuptial festivities.

3. Pastel colour palette

If your wedding vision involves a romantic, vintage celebration overflowing with florals and pastel hues, then spring is your ideal nuptial season. Dusky pinks, dreamy lilacs and minted greens lend themselves to a beautiful wedding aesthetic, accentuated by soft, feminine details throughout your day.

Set the tone for your springtime celebrations with personalised, printed frosted acrylic wedding invitations.

4. Welcome weather

Spring's milder weather conditions make for a more comfortable wedding season. Forget sweating off your wedding makeup before the celebrations have begun, or covering up to keep the chill at bay. Spring offers a temperate climate to take your vows – which both the happy couple and their guests will appreciate. As well as buttercream that won't melt, another bonus of a spring wedding is announcing your happy ending with a wooden Happily Ever After cake topper.

5. Great for guests

Leave the hectic social schedule of the summer behind, and avoid the high costs  of the holiday season , a spring wedding celebration gives guests a chance to catch their breath and often means accommodation is less expensive, if there is travel involved. Show appreciation to all your guests with customised, printed wedding photo frames- include a photo to create a keepsake from your celebrations and a memory they can treasure.
